DuckDuckGo Tracker Radar removed 2o7.net, 1dmp.io, 1rx.io, and 15 more domains as fast as they added them. All were new entries from July 21. 2o7.net is a classic Adobe Analytics tracker, and 1dmp.io and 1rx.io are tied to data onboarding and audience measurement. Why does this matter? If you rely on these for analytics or retargeting, you may have noticed tracking breaks—briefly. If you got customer complaints, tell them you weren’t losing your mind. Just temporary blocklist whiplash.
Consensus Block: Teads Widgets Land on Four Lists
widgets.teads-xo.com appeared on four major lists at once: AdGuard Base Filter, AdGuard DNS Filter, EasyList, and Peter Lowe’s. Teads is a video ad provider used by many publishers. If you use Teads widgets for monetization or video ads, expect higher block rates and possible widget breakage. Test your embeds if ad revenue drops or users complain about missing video.
Generated Domains: The .cfd and .rest Swarm
These aren’t your garden-variety tracker domains. Patterns like 2chrukggk3ezr9p5j.rest, 5j4m4y41x5mgwb8.cfd, and 48q1m7qfh4c4cr195g8fhrpv1.cfd hit three top lists at the same time. The naming patterns suggest automated tracker or malvertising networks spinning up disposable infrastructure. If you see traffic or requests from these, assume they won’t last long in the wild—or on allow lists.
EasyList: Not Just Random Junk
Mixed in with the random .cfd domains, a few real sites snuck in. 2020broncos.com was added to EasyList. Not exactly a hotbed of ad tech, but if your old campaign microsite or legacy domain starts getting blocked, it might be here. Don’t assume “nobody cares” just because it’s not a major brand.
